Snowmobile trip, North West River to Nain

1000 km., snowmobile trip from North West River to Nain and return. Travelling through Postville, Natuashish, and Hopedale. Last winter I was asked if I would like to travel along and assist in escorting a resident that was moving to Nain. Three snowmobilers from Happy Valley-Goose Bay met me in North West River early morning before we headed north. It is a 520 km., trip, one-way from North West River to Nain. We actually travelled the whole day and night the first leg. 12 hours of travel time and 9.5 hours of actual seat/driving time. With stops for gas and short rests along the way. We spend the night in Nain before heading back the next morning. Spending a night in Postville on the return leg. It was -36 C when we left Nain that morning. And as expected we came through high winds and much snow on the return. It was a beautiful trip that I will be doing again in 2020.
