Lost hunters

Assisting a search for lost Innu hunters at the head of Grand Lake. This photo is at the end of Grand Lake. Grand Lake is over 40 miles long and can reach a depth of over 1000 feet. Early last winter there were two Innu hunters who had snowmobile trouble and were delayed getting home. No one had heard from them for awhile, so, friends and family went looking for them. I volunteered to help as well. It was very stormy with heavy snowfall. Just before we arrived at the head of Grand Lake we got word that they were found safe moments before our arrival and were already helicoptered away.
